Recipe: Grape Leaves by Sahadi’s
Sahadi’s, the James Beard Award-winning gourmand store in Brooklyn, shares this recipe for a signature Mediterranean dish to “Sunday Morning” viewers.
Grape Leaves
Substances:
1 lb. grape leaves
1 lb. coarse floor lamb
¾ cup rice
½ tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sea salt
¼ cup water
¼ cup garlic cloves
1 entire lemon
Directions:
Rinse grape leaves nicely and reduce stem.
In a bowl combine floor lamb, rice, salt, pepper and water. Stuff grape leaves with ½ tbsp. or extra of rice combination in following method: put combination near backside the place stem was, then fold and roll such as you would a burrito.
